Neech Bhanga Rajayoga
“Bhang” means cancellation of debilitation. If a planet is debilitated, the effect of debilitation is reduced because of certain position of other planets or their aspect on debilitated planet. The planet becomes Yogakarka.
“Rajayoga” is formed when debilitation of planet is cancelled. That planet gives extremely auspicious results. One born under humble surroundings rise to a position of affluence and eminence. Therefore, the cancellation of debilitation has been given the name “Neech Bhanga Rajayoga” (NBR).
Effects of NBR: This Rajayoga first gives effects of debilitation. There is humilitation, fall from position or some sort of trouble before some betterment is there. In NBR, the debilitated planet first creates a trouble, clears the same and then gives auspicious results. The debilitation may give a meagre start, but cancellation gives a remarkable rise, i.e. “pahley pattan phir uthan” (पहले पतन फिर उठान).
Principles of NBR: The NBR occurs by the presence of any one or more of the following combinations in the horoscope of the native:
The lord of the house where the planet is debilitated (Dispositor of the planet) is in Kendra from Lagna or Moon.
The planet which gets exalted in the sign of placement of debilitated planet is in Kendra from Lagna or Moon.
The Dispositor of debilitated planet and the lord of planet’s exaltation sign are in mutual Kendra.
The Dispositor of debilitated planet and the lord of planet’s exaltation sign both are in Kendra from Lagan or Moon.
The debilitated planet is associated with or aspected by the lord of that sign.
The debilitated planet is in Kendra from Lagan or Moon.
The debilitated planet is being mutually aspected by another debilitated planet.
The lord of house where the debilitated planet is exalted, i.e., the exaltation lord of the planet is in Kendra from Lagan or Moon.
The debilitated planet exchanges house with its debilitation lord.
The debilitated planet is associated with or aspected by its exaltation lord.
The debilitated planet is exalted in Navamsha.
The debilitated planet is retrograde, occupying an auspicious house.
Fructification of Yoga: The debilitated planet and the planet who cancels the debilitation can confer the results of NBR in their periods and sub-periods. Besides, the Yoga results can also be experienced during the following:
The periods of planets posited in the house owned by the “Yogakaraka”.
The periods of planets associated with/ aspected by the “Yogakaraka”.
The periods of Nodes if they happen to be in benefic houses in association or aspect of Yoga giving planets.
During the periods of lords of “Navamsha” Signs in which the Yoga giving planets are posited.
