Mr. Kartar Chand Malhotra
Mr. Kartar Chand Malhotra is a distinguished engineer, astrologer, educator, and mentor whose remarkable professional journey spans more than six decades.
He completed his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Punjab Engineering College (PEC), Chandigarh, graduating in 1961, after pursuing his engineering studies from 1957 to 1961. Following his graduation, he began his illustrious engineering career and was posted at the prestigious Bhakra Nangal Dam, where he contributed his technical expertise and engineering knowledge to one of India's landmark infrastructure projects.
Over the course of his distinguished career in the Punjab Education Department, Mr. Malhotra rose through the ranks through his dedication, technical knowledge, and leadership abilities. He ultimately served as Chief Engineer, the highest position he attained in his department, before retiring in 1997.
A New Chapter in Astrology
Following his retirement, Mr. Malhotra embarked upon a new intellectual and spiritual journey in the field of Astrology. With the same discipline and dedication that characterized his engineering career, he pursued formal studies in astrology and achieved Second Rank at the All-India level in his graduation in Astrology.
His passion for astrology soon developed into a commitment to education. He began teaching astrology to students, sharing his knowledge, experience, and practical understanding of the subject with generations of learners.
With more than 25 years of experience in teaching and practicing astrology, Mr. Malhotra has established himself as a respected teacher and mentor. His approach combines systematic learning with traditional astrological knowledge, encouraging students to study the subject with discipline, depth, and clarity.
Chairman & Founder
Today, Mr. Kartar Chand Malhotra serves as the Chairman of his own astrology institute, where he continues his mission of educating and mentoring students interested in the ancient science of astrology.
His journey—from Mechanical Engineer and Chief Engineer to Astrologer, Teacher, and Chairman—reflects a lifelong commitment to learning, leadership, and sharing knowledge with others.
With decades of professional experience and more than 25 years dedicated to astrology education, Mr. Kartar Chand Malhotra continues to inspire students through his knowledge, discipline, and passion for teaching.
The Indian Institute of Vedic Astrology, Chandigarh (IIVA) was born out of a deep commitment to preserve, teach and propagate the timeless knowledge of Vedic Astrology in a systematic and meaningful manner.
